Lo/Ovral-28 contiene una combinación de etinilestradiol y norgestrel. Ethinyl estradiol norgestrel son hormonas femeninas que impiden la ovulación (la liberación de un óvulo del ovario). Lo/Ovral-28 también causa cambios en el moco cervical y el revestimiento del útero, haciendo más difícil para los espermatozoides lleguen al útero y más difícil para que un huevo fertilizado en el útero.

Lo/Ovral-28 se usa como anticonceptivo para prevenir el embarazo.
