Brompheniramine es un antihistamínico que reduce los efectos de la histamina química natural en el cuerpo. La histamina puede producir síntomas de estornudo, picazón, ojos llorosos, y nariz mocosa.

El dextrometorfano es un antitusivo. Afecta a las señales en el cerebro que desencadenan el reflejo de la tos.

La pseudoefedrina es un descongestionante que encoge los vasos sanguíneos en los pasajes nasales. Dilatación de los vasos sanguíneos puede causar congestión nasal (nariz tapada).

Robitussin Alergia & Tos es una medicina combinada se usa para tratar la tos, secreción o congestión nasal, estornudos, picazón y lagrimeo de los ojos causados por alergias, el resfrío común, o la gripe.

Robitussin Alergia & Tos no va a tratar la tos causada por el tabaco, asma o enfisema.
